Well now ... Over down on Main Street Just behind the gen'ral store There's a crazy little restaurant Called Crab House Baltimore You can get a mess of blue crabs Or some oysters at the stand But the reason most folks go there Is to hear the rockin' band I'm telling you It's quite a place, there's no disgrace, to wear a bib Now Jerry plays the lead guitar And Sally 'lectric bass Big Germaine's on drums and Lou's on sax They really rock the place Jerry sings and takes lead vocals And the others harmonize They play everything from "Cupid" down to "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" I'm telling you A great house band, they play just grand, you'll understand A crazy little combo, just enjoy 'em with your gumbo And their known as simply "Walk A Different Way" Now the first time you go in the place You might be taken aback By the sound of noisy diners And the crab shells as they crack Just be thankful you ain't like one of those Blue crabs in a cage But you'll soon fuhgeddaboudit When the band goes on the stage I'm telling you It's quite a thing, to hear 'em sing, they really swing They started out as a jug band out DC wayYou can tell they've been around a while You hear it when they play It's been years and tears since their first break At Smokey Joe's Cafe They've got records and got CDs And they'll often do a gig They'll do weddings and bar mitzvahs Hope someday to make it big I'm telling you Just take your seat, and stomp your feet, oh what a treat So if you're ever in the Old Line state And have a little time Just 'a head out to the Crab House And you're gonna blow your mind Don't matter how you get there Be it bike or boat or barge They'll be playing every weekend And there ain't no cover charge I'm telling you You gotta go, and see their show, and then you'll know Oh I hope to see you there Have some of those crabs if you dare Come see them "Walk a Different Way" See them "Walk a Different Way" |
