Wanda McGill

by Tom Parker
Tonight she joined the military
Her name is Wanda McGill
Oh tonight, she will leave for South Londonerry
And we are stuck with the bill

She was the joy of Suffolks county
Oh she had a figure divine
And now she is gone and we're left with only
Fond memories of her life and times
Well she was only a coal miner's daughter
Yet she was still the star of
Every schoolboy's dream

Well every night when she'd go for water
She'd leave a trail of broken hearts
Beside the stream
She had lived in a cold and darkly world
Suffering to the core
But she made the most of it because
She would leave them panting for more
But then as time went by it took its toll on poor Wanda
Well she was quite in debt
And owed 6,000 pounds
What could she do, what would she do
Well, she left for the coast and was in quite a hurry
The hounds were in hot pursuit
When she sent me a post that said "please don't worry"
I knew she was still quite astute

And tonight she joined the military
It left us all with a chill
Oh tonight, she will leave for South Londonerry
Goodbye dear Wanda McGill
We'll miss you sweet Wanda McGill
