Some Things

by Tom Parker
A sunset that is golden
Tchaikovsky and Beethoven
These are some things, I do declare, like
Sun in her eyes and the Moon in her hair, oh

A summer rain that's fallin'
A gentle breeze that's callin'
Night on the town and a hat on my head
Just hangin' around, and a nice, big, warm bed, oh

A land with lots of freedom
Peace and abundance, need 'em
These are some things
These are some things
I don't know what you mean
When you say life is a dream
Oh I see things that could be
And they seem so real to me
A new dawn as it's breakin'
Scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon
Bannana peel in a register till
About as real as a three dollar bill, oh

A rhythm that is shaking
A cobbler pie that's baking
Mangy old cat on a telephone pole
An actor on loan who's just playing a role, oh

A goal that I am chasing
Ideas worth embracing
These are some things
These are some things
I don't know what you mean
When you say life is obscene
Oh I see things that could be
And they seem so real to me
Words of love gone unspoken
Hearts not scared to be broken
These are some words that I have rhymed that
Seem to go well in a strange 6-4 time, oh

A sunset that is golden
Tchaikovsky and Beethoven
These are just a few
(Between me and you)
These are just a few of my dreams
